It’s been awhile since I wrote here. Meanwhile, the backyard has gone over fully to weeds, as you can see.
As has my mind, it seems at times. After bathing in the annual wellspring of creativity that is SXSW, both the Interactive and the newer edu conference, I basked in the warmth of new knowledge, inspiration and ideas. I basked and basked until I got about half-baked, feeling toasty warm all over but not yet ready somehow.
Ready for what, you might ask. Indeed.
The thing with weeds is they produce unexpected results. Yes, these are weeds across the yard — weeds with rather pretty little white flowers. That attract, I noticed the other day, a number of honeybees. And that’s good, especially in a world where the bees have been disappearing.
So it goes with the weeds of my mind. No, I am not “cultivating” any project, but there are myriad tiny flowers blooming in preparation. And there are buzzy little bees hidden there among the flowers. While I do not yet know what the outcome will be, me and the weeds will wait right here.
