Live! in Your Living Room!

TV static & viewer silhouetteWith ongoing social distance measures intensifying with many people ordered to take it a step further and shelter in place, it’s good to see members of the arts community step up to offer live performances and virtual tours.

So, here’s  for all of us hunkered down at home, alive and…well, as well as can be expected — a list of livestreams  bringing music and arts right to our homes.

♦  Willie Nelson’s “Luck Reunion”  — an annual counterpoint to the madness of XSW — announced “Till Further Notice” livestream, Thusday, March 19, at 6pm CST.

♦  Catch selected performances of such Broadway shows as Cats, The King and I, and Sound of Music, along with originals, including performances of Kinky Boots and 42ndStreet, from Broadway, The West End, and other elite venues around the world.

♦  NPR offers a list of live virtual concerts.

♦  Austin — the “Live Music Capital of the World” — has numerous clubs & Bands offering livestreams — please tip via VenMo and/or PayPal to support thes folks!

♦  There’s a little something out for everyone — Opera, anyone?

♦  The New York  Public Library offers over 300,000 books — literature, live right in your imagination whenever yo choose!

♦  Author Neil Gaiman offers multiple downloads from his website. Check out the Mouse Circus link for his kids’ stuff.
